Favorite Outfit This Month - Chevron and Chambray

Happy Monday!

This is my first real temp at an outfit post so please bear with me. I don't know if you remember but in my "What I bought in January Post" I said that I bought this chevron sweater after seeing it on one of the sales girls at Banana Republic, well this is the outfit she wore and I immediately had to dupe it because she looked so good in it!

Here is my take on it:

Shoes: Kohls
Purse: Michael Kors

Getting in a little bit closer...

Wishlist Wednesday - Beauty

Every week I crave something different, usually its clothing but this week its has been beauty products. Maybe its from watching all end of the year favourites videos on YouTube or its this hole new year new me thing, but whatever it is I am  currently wanting to try and buy an immense amount of products (posted are just one ones at the top of my list). I do have a 10% off and Sephora store credit to use up so you might be seeing these items in my "What I Bought" series at the end of this month.

Sunday Sales Picks

I love a good deal and more over  I love a good hunt. Finding something I've been lusting of on major clearance is so satisfying in my head. Weird I know but people having been telling me to make post like this for a while now, so I thought why not start today.

My favorite sale this week is the JCREW extra 40% off clearance. JCREW is amazing but it can get really expensive but what I love is that almost everything always ends up on sale and if you play the waiting game you can find the thing you've been lusting after for almost half the price.

My picks from the sale are:

1. Open Gold Bangle currently $25.20
3. Universal Charger - $14.99
5. Jeweled Sateen Shell - $41.99
6. Tipped Silk Tee - $56.39
7. Jeweled Stripe Top $50.99

What will you carry ?

Today is my last first day of school. Its a surreal feeling and I know its too early to say that I will never be going back to school but for right now its is & it feels amazing.

This post would typically go up during August/September but I was just feeling inspired today. Why? Because even though its my last semester of school I still want to buy a new school bag particularly a new backpack. Is it logical, in my head yes.

These are the 3 types of bags that I carried through my University years:

1. A Backpack, although I want this Herschel one I currently use a plain black Dakine one. Backpacks are the most practical.  You can stuff so much into one and it allows you to be hands free. Plus with so many options on the market now you can definitely find a cute one.

2. A Tote, I love my longchamp, and although I wouldn't recommend the colour I got, even though i love it  (beige, because it go so dirty so quickly) I would recommend the bag. It definitely a bottomless pit and very sturdy!

3. A Purse, at school I see a lot of girls just carry a purse and when I got my Selma I started doing the same thing.  I carried a purse to school when a) I only had one class b) I had to go somewhere nicer to be after class. The Selma for me is a perfect bag because not only can it hold a bunch of stuff (13 in Macbook Pro + Charger + other items) but it holds it shape extremely well and does great in Vancouver rain.

Thats what I carried, what do you carry?

New Year, New Resolutions !

Happy First Week of 2014 !

This year feels different to me, with everything coming up I can't wait to get start on everything I want to do and go everywhere I planned on going. 2014 will definitely be a year full of new beginnings, new adventures, new starts, new fears and new set backs.

This year I will be:
1. Graduating University
2. Travelling to Europe and Asia
3. Starting a Career (Hopefully)

2013 was definitely a character building year, I learned a lot about myself and what I want out of life and although there were some terrible lows, there was also wonderful highs and as much as I want to forget some moments, Im glad they happened because they taught me so many unforgettable lessons.

But with the New Year upon us, I wanted to share some of my resolutions.

1. Get Healthy & Be Fit
I already know, can I get anymore cliche? But this is a goal I've been working on since the end of the 2013 and one I am really serious about. The truth is I am not a teenager anymore and my body cannot handle the things I put it under anymore and it needs to change.

2. Travel
I always want to travel, but I always make excuses not to. With graduation in the near future I plan to take a few months off to truly see the world.

3. Show Gratitude
I truly believe in the statement "Gratitude turns what we have into enough" and I need to remember that statement more.

What are your Resolutions ?

Cheers,
Jennifer
