New Year, New Resolutions !

Happy First Week of 2014 !

This year feels different to me, with everything coming up I can't wait to get start on everything I want to do and go everywhere I planned on going. 2014 will definitely be a year full of new beginnings, new adventures, new starts, new fears and new set backs.

This year I will be:
1. Graduating University
2. Travelling to Europe and Asia
3. Starting a Career (Hopefully)

2013 was definitely a character building year, I learned a lot about myself and what I want out of life and although there were some terrible lows, there was also wonderful highs and as much as I want to forget some moments, Im glad they happened because they taught me so many unforgettable lessons.

But with the New Year upon us, I wanted to share some of my resolutions.

1. Get Healthy & Be Fit
I already know, can I get anymore cliche? But this is a goal I've been working on since the end of the 2013 and one I am really serious about. The truth is I am not a teenager anymore and my body cannot handle the things I put it under anymore and it needs to change.

2. Travel
I always want to travel, but I always make excuses not to. With graduation in the near future I plan to take a few months off to truly see the world.

3. Show Gratitude
I truly believe in the statement "Gratitude turns what we have into enough" and I need to remember that statement more.

What are your Resolutions ?

Cheers,
Jennifer

13 things in 2013

ONE
Making the Dean's Honour Roll
This award was unexpected because this year I took on a lot more on than usual. I worked full time throughout the majority of the school year and schooled all year round (3 semester). I learned that it is possible to do it all you just need to want it.

TWO
Statements Necklaces
Describing this as an addiction is an understatement. I really got into statement necklaces this year and I love how much they can transform an outfit. They have actually inspired a big project that I cant wait to get started on and share with everyone

Time - An Explanation & Update

My exams were done and over with on Dec 4th and I had every intention to blog regularly again, I even had a plan in place to for a new blog post everyday of December.. But what happened ? I have no idea. One moment it was Dec 4th and now theres only a couple of days left in 2013.

This month I planned to do it all. I wanted to do all the Christmas festivities that I never got to do before, I wanted to sleep in and over 8 hours everyday, I wanted use this winter break to learn more about the design programs I've been dabbling in, I wanted to workout and get a head start on my new years resolution to "get fit", I wanted to do so much but ended up half/barely starting everything.

Planning to do things and actually getting things done are things a struggle with the most. More often than not I find myself ignoring the things a want to do (blogging, learning, exercising) and wasting time on useless things (online shopping, youtube, pinterest, other internet black holes.) With the year coming to a quick end its hard to believe that another 365 days past by, although I feel like I've made steps in the right direction but I am no where near where I want to be.

I order to change this habit I want to challenge myself next year to create more than just a list of things I want to get done but make a timeline and develop a step by step guide as well. Hopefully this will make it better and when I start to see more little things being crosses off it will motivate me to cross off the bigger things.

Because honestly speaking there is enough time in the day, I just don't make use of it efficiently.

Did you get done everything you wanted this year?

Cheers, Jennifer
